Interesting article from Live Science on the sexualization of girls as young as six. The article focuses on how parents, media, sports and even religion may impact how young girls wish to dress and present themselves.

This isn’t about slut-shaming, this is about helping girls, prepubescent girls, understand that they are not, do not have to be, and should not be sexual objects. This is about telling all people that they should not solely be sexual objects. This isn’t about not being sexy, it’s about not feeling like you have to be sexy, before you even understand why you might want to be.
